Build-A-Bear Workshop Holiday Line & Giveaway

Just last month, Chelsea and I had our first in-store Build-A-Bear Workshop experience, where we built Merry Mint Pup (named Flauta, by Chelsea... no idea where she comes up with her names, but it's food inspired, so it's cool) all by ourselves.  I loved the whole experience (maybe even more than Chelsea, she's only 3 and a half), and really wish that they had been around when I was young.  

Build-A-Bear Workshop has a fantastic holiday line up this season, including nostalgic holiday favourites like the Dr. Seuss's The Grinch (who I got to review, he is so snuggly and his heart really glows when you push his hand and it grows 3 sizes!), Rudolph & Clarice from Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer and new selections such as Hello Kitty Gingerbread and Christmas Cookie Bear.  

My Grinch (well, Chelsea's Grinch once Christmas Day gets here) is also dressed up with the 4-piece Grinch Costume Set, which is an optional accessory.  While my Grinch doesn't have any sound, if you were building him yourself, you also have the option to add "You're a Mean One, Mr. Grinch".  One thing I thought was so fun in our in-store Build-A-Bear experience was that we could record our own messages to put inside our bears... a great way to personalize an already personalized gift.  

Before I learned about Build-A-Bear through previous giveaways and finally getting a chance to visit, I had the impression that they were just too expensive.  Now though, I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them... the products are of great quality (I don't know how many cheap stuffed animals Chelsea has already had that had little holes in the seams when they were new, which quickly turned into big holes and big messes), the selection of interchangeable accessories and clothes is huge (and also way better quality than other doll clothes I've seen lately) and most importantly the service in store was incredible... something I am pretty picky about.  If you aren't close to a Build-A-Bear Workshop, you can also shop online... not quite as fun, but still just as personal.
