I have loved all of the ice creams I have made and shared the recipes for so far. I wanted to pick out my favourite but when I looked back through my ice cream posts, I liked them all so much I just couldn't pick one over another.
So what to try next? Well, something a bit on the lighter side would be prudent (I think of SNL's Church Lady whenever I use the word prudent, that dates me somewhat, eh?). I was pleasantly surprised when I perused Cooking Light's list of their Favourite Homemade Ice Cream Recipes, that they all sounded completely decadent. Mango Mascarpone, Salted Caramel and Blueberry Cheesecake are just three of the varieties that jumped out at me. If these are light, I'm in!
So help me out folks, I know you love ice cream... what is your favourite flavour? Also, I really want to make one of the three ice creams above and just can't decide! Whichever recipe gets the most interest I will make for sure sometime in July and will share my experiences and photos. If you haven't made homemade ice cream before, this should be the summer you start. Get some great ice cream how-to's here.

ReplyDeleteSalted Caramel sounds interesting....I got an ice cream maker attachement back in December. So far have tried a couple of frozen yogurts that I haven't been too happy with. Made a good roasted banana ice cream and a mango ice cream...now I"m also trying to figure out what to try next!
